Event Musings: Virtual Clarendon Cooking Class!

Hello everyone!

We had a most a wonderful time at our Virtual Clarendon Cooking Class event in collaboration with La Cucina of Oxford and The Hunger Project UK! We absolutely loved the event and we really hope that you all did, too! Thank you so very much to our wonderful Dining and Outreach Secretaries, Morgan and Chané, and to wonderful Chef Alberto Brunelli, Head Chef and Co-Founder of La Cucina and of Cuttlefish for organising this most incredible event! Thank you so very much, everyone, for joining us! We really hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and we had such a super fun time!

Please find below some words about the event from our wonderful Dining Secretary and event Co-Host, Morgan!

“Clarendon Cooking Class - What a smashing success! Literally! We smashed potatoes, mixed them with egg & flour, and ended up with delicious, delightful, light & fluffy gnocchi. PLUS we raised £80 for The Hunger Project UK (shoutout to our amazing Outreach Secretary, Chané, for setting this up!)

Chef Alberto led us through the recipes from his restaurant kitchen at La Cucina – he shared tips, stories, and was all around an excellent teacher. We learned so much about Italian cuisine and gnocchi in particular.

Some quotes from the event: “That was just so fresh and light”, “I can’t get over how delicious that was”, “I’m a good cook, but that was the best meal I’ve had in a while”

Thank you everyone for attending (& for sending in your amazing photos)!” - Morgan Wade, Clarendon Council Dining Secretary

Images, in order of appearance!: beautiful pasta creations and pasta-creation-process photos from Samvida Venkatesh, Klara Piletič, Kate Friesen, Chané Kulenkampff, Xiaona (Cathy) Wang, Morgan Wade, and Nishant (Nick) Chauhan! Thank you so very much, everyone, for passing these gorgeous photos over to us! Absolutely delicious!
