Event Musings: Our Latest Book Club!

Hello everyone!

We had a most a wonderful time reading the incredible Exit West by Mohsin Hamid at our two latest latest Book Club sessions, both of which took place on Sunday 7th March! We really hope that you all did, too! Thank you so very much to our wonderful Book Clubs hosts, Laurel and Taro, for organising and thank you so very much to everyone for coming along! We really hope that everyone enjoyed themselves, and we cannot wait to continue reading together at our future Book Clubs!

Please find below some words about the event from our wonderful Book Club Co-Host, Laurel!:

“We held two sessions of our book club on Exit West over the weekend, with several people from the first session even coming back for more. With the themes in this book of migration and displacement, we dove into socio-political thought experiments, discussed mobility, nostalgia, technology, and the passage of time. All in all, we had two lively discussions with thoughtful participation from scholars all over the world that ran well over the hour, and we are very excited to continue with our next read!“ - Laurel Kaye, Clarendon Book Club Co-Host
