CV and Cover Letters Clinic

£0.00

CVs and cover letters are read very quickly (think seconds!) yet are crucial for getting an interview. Julia Sadler from Oxford Careers Service will share tips on how to tailor your CV, articulate relevant skills and experience, and deliver an effective application. Through group work, you will have the chance to apply the learning to your own CV if you have one (don’t worry if you don’t). We will also let you know how Oxford Careers Service can support you further with skills programmes, events and careers fairs.

This session will aim cover applications to a wide range of sectors, including academia, both in the UK and beyond.

To get the most out of this workshop:

  • We strongly encourage you to look at the CV and cover letter writing guidance on our web pages before you attend.

  • Please bring along a draft 1-2 page CV if you have one. We are unable to print documents for participants; if you wish to work on a paper copy of your CV/cover letter please print before arriving at St Peter’s College

  • If you don’t have a CV already, don’t be put off from joining this session. You will still pick up CV tips for future drafts.
