Sold Out!

Clarendon Freshers are warmly invited to join a tour of the Oxford University Press Archive (Museum), where over five centuries of publishing history are brought to life. From the seventeenth-century Fell types to the first edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and from the Oxford English Dictionary to OUP’s latest digital innovations, the tour offers a unique glimpse into the Press’s enduring legacy.

The Clarendon Fund has a deep connection to Oxford University Press in two ways. Firstly, the fund is named in honour of the Earl of Clarendon—whose landmark work The History of the Great Rebellion and Civil Wars in England helped shape both the University and its publishing tradition. Today, surplus income from OUP contributes over £9.2 million each year, supporting Clarendon Scholars in pursuing their academic and educational ambitions. Thanks to this enduring commitment, the spirit of learning and discovery thrives at Oxford.

📍 Venue: Oxford University Press. Entry via main reception on Great Clarendon Street, Oxford OX2 6DP

📅 Date and Time: 30th September 2pm & 1st October 11am (2 sessions are same)
