Medieval Oxford Walking Tour
Join us for a journey into Oxford’s medieval past, where history and myth intertwine. This guided walking tour will uncover the daily lives of townsfolk and scholars, explore the sometimes tense, sometimes friendly relationship between the two, and highlight the women who helped shape Oxford’s reputation. You’ll also discover traces of the historic Jewish quarter and see how remnants of the medieval city are still embedded in the modern university landscape.
Along the way, the tour will challenge common stereotypes about the Middle Ages — showing that the concerns of the past are not so distant from our own. Led by expert guides, the experience is designed to be both informative and engaging, offering a new perspective on Oxford’s complex history.
