👥Global UK Scholarship Conference 26TT🌍

Building on the success of the inaugural 2025 Clarendon-Gates Conference, we’re happy to announce the 2026 Global UK Scholarship Conference, now bringing together scholars from the Clarendon, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, and Rhodes community for a day of interdisciplinary exchange, research presentations, and collaboration. The theme of this year’s conference is “Global Scholarship and Academic Responsibility.”

Date: 26 June 2026

Location: Cambridge

Tickets: ÂŁ55, released first come first served on Tuesday, 2 June, 11:00 AM, and Thursday, 4 June, 1:30 PM.

Note that this will be an all-day event. The preliminary departure time from Oxford is 8 AM and we will leave Cambridge at around 10 PM.

The ticket includes:

  • Transportation (bus to and from Cambridge)

  • Conference (keynotes, guest speakers, and student presentations)

  • Formal at Churchill College (for sales after 15 June, formal dinner menus will all be Vegan, Nut-Free, and Dairy-Free)

  • Breakfast, refreshments, and catered lunch

  • Cambridge college tours

  • Commemorative nametags

Tickets for this event can be resold at the original price (to other Clarendon Scholars only) until 12 June. All ticket changes/reselling must be communicated to the Council at clarendon.scholars@gmail.com.

NOTE: For sales after 15 June, formal dinner menus will all be Vegan, Nut-Free, and Dairy-Free.

Call for Abstracts!!

We are pleased to invite abstract submissions for the 2026 Global UK Scholarship Conference. See above for more details!

We welcome submissions from scholars in all fields and at all stages of research, and we especially encourage contributions that speak to the conference theme, “Global Scholarship and Academic Responsibility.” Scholars are also welcome to take a creative approach to their presentations where appropriate.

Please submit an abstract of no more than 150 words by Friday, 12 June using the following form:

Selected speakers will be invited to give a 10 minute oral presentation followed by audience questions. Note that the 10 minute presentation limit will be strictly enforced to ensure the schedule stays on track.

Please note that selected speakers will also need to purchase a ticket for the conference. We recommend reaching out to your college, department, or funding body to cover the cost of attendance.
