Are you interested in presenting your research?
Do you want experience explaining your project to a broad audience?
Would you like to practise pitching your ideas?
Or would you simply like to learn about other Scholars’ fascinating work?
Then the Clarendon Research Showcase, Tuesday 2 Dec, 6-8 PM, is the perfect opportunity for you.
We are inviting 12 presenters from across our cohort to give a 5-minute pitch on their research. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time for discussion, questions, and interaction - all while enjoying some delicious pizza!
The event is free for presenters and only £2.5 for attendees.
To become a presenter, simply select a slot in your research discipline once the tickets are released. Slots are first come, first served - so don’t wait!
We offer 2 presenter slots per division - choose a slot in your division only (except Wildcard)!
Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences (MPLS)
Social Sciences
Medical Sciences
Humanities
Interdisciplinary / Continuing Education
Wildcard (open to any field)
After selecting your division, you will be asked to provide a presentation title - that’s all.
If you secure a presenter ticket, you must submit a 50–100 word abstract to
katharina.lasinger@physics.ox.ac.uk within 3 days to confirm your commitment.
During the showcase, the presentation style is entirely up to you.
If you plan to use a .pptx or .pdf, please bring it on a USB stick.
Great pitches, great people, great pizza. See you there!
Presentation reservations open at 11:59 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19.
Stay tuned if you’d just like to listen to others’ talks.
