Hi, I’m Sophia. I’m a DPhil candidate in Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation and serve as your academic secretary. My research explores how AI can be used in education responsibly and equitably, with a focus on designing tools that reduce rather than widen educational inequalities. I have a deep interest in using data and evidence-based research to inform education policy, and my research focuses on identifying strategies to reduce educational inequalities. Previously, I worked as an education policy and statistics advisor at the Ministry of Education and Research and the Office for National Statistics in Norway. Outside academia, I enjoy hiking, drinking tea, and playing tennis.
