Event Musings: A Walk to Remember!

Hello everyone!

We had a most wonderful time at our first in-person event in a long while, ‘A Walk to Remember’, brought to us by our wonderful Social Secretaries, Nick and Kate! This event brought together two Scholars who went for a (very delicious!) walk. The Council teamed-up with the local Tree Artisan Café, who most kindly provided us with delectable snacks, lunch-bits, beverages and sweet treats which provided fuel for us all as we walked! We really hope that you all enjoyed yourselves! Thank you so very much to Kate and Nick for organising and to our fabulous friends at Tree Artisan Café, and thank you so very much to everyone for coming along!

Please find below some words about the event from fellow Scholar, William, who joined us for the walk!

“It was great to meet another Clarendon scholar and exchange lockdown survival stories. I can recommend the smoothies at Artisan Cafe!”

Please also find below some words about the event from our wonderful Social Secretaries and event Co-Hosts, Nick and Kate!:

“A walk to Remember was an in-person meet-up after ages! Everybody wanted to socialise outside of their household with the relaxation of lockdown that was imposed right after Christmas. That, along with the refreshing drinks and scrumptious snacks served by Tree Artisan Café, took the event to another level. The Café sources their gorgeous goods from local and sustainable suppliers around Oxford and complements the ethos and communal spirit that the Council takes in all its events!”
