Hi! I’m Charlie (she/her) and I’m in the first year of my DPhil in Archaeology. My thesis explores the multi-sensory aspects of monastic space in Byzantine and Early Islamic Egypt 🪔

Prior to beginning my DPhil, I received a BA and MSc in Archaeology from Durham University and the University of Edinburgh, respectively. Most recently, I completed an MA in Egyptology at Yale University.

In my free time, I enjoy making archaeology-themed clay earrings! I’m also (slightly) obsessed with clay lamps…
